Behold the Lamb of God

January 15th, 2023 by Zen

When John the Revelator had his vision, he was told, “Behold the Lion of the Tribe of Judah”, but he saw a lamb. Jesus was not what the people were expecting. Not just the common people, but John as well. Likewise, John the Baptist was genuinely confused when Jesus wasn’t just kicking Roman butt.

Fortunately, we are more enlightened.

HA! HA! HAHAHA!

But seriously, God reveals himself because He is NOT what we expect. We can not know God except by revelation.

So, what are we told about Christ coming again?

The Entropy Engine – Chapter 2

January 15th, 2023 by Zen

A continuation of a previous story – The Entropy Engine.

Dr H Trismagnus examined the charts and graphs in front of him. He could see what was happening, and he knew the signs as well as anyone. Still, he didn’t want to believe it. But he couldn’t deny it either. All of this on top of the vicious and relentless attacks from certain neighboring star systems, those with Entropy Engines. So, with the background noise of massive detonations in the distance, he gathered his notes and walked to see his friend Prof. Dadeleus Metan.

His labyrinthine workshop defied any kind of order, with half finished projects everywhere, biological, mechanical, artistic. Stepping over what appeared to be a pepper plant set in a helmet with neural implants attached, he called to Dadeleus. His son Icarious lay underneath a heavy piece of equipment, with the sound of loud music playing in his headphones.

Dadeleus looked up and waved him over. “How goes the war?”, he inquired.

“Our shields are holding. For now.”

“Is this really about the energy flow? They have expended far, far more energy attacking us, than has flowed from them to us.”

“And yet”, Hermes replied, as he handed the plots and charts to Dadeleus, “that is the least of our problems. Our problem is Geometry.”

Dadeleus studied the charts and quickly came to the unavoidable conclusion, “The Big Bang, or rather a Big Bang. Grim.”

“What?! What am I missing? What do you mean, a Big Bang?”, called Icarious from underneath what appeared to be a combination warp drive and overgrown aquarium. Terraforming equipment perhaps? His music continued to blare.

“Son, you know, from elementary geometry, that there are as many points in a 4-D hyper-volume, as there is in a 3-D volume.”

“Obviously, because both have an infinite number of points, and those infinities are the same size. Infinity is funny that way.”

“Exactly. You can also see that both can be made from a Space-filling curve. But that also means that a very little 4-D space makes a lot of hot dense 3-D space.”

Icarious

in the Big Bang, our universe was born from the, shall I say, the corpse of an earlier 4 dimensional universe. That universe had expanded it was so sparse

The important thing to understand the concept from Old Earth, called, It from Bit. Reality, our entire universe, all matter and energy, is fundamentally, information. That is all it is, not that that is a minor thing!

That is why we call Christ the Truth of the World.

Entropy is information. The Entropy Engine appears to be removing, (or even destroying, if such a thing is possible) information, while the Creation Engines, are creating information.

But information isn’t just matter, it is the fabric of space-time. And if the amount of information becomes spread out enough…

Have you heard of the Holographic Principle? https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/information-in-the-holographic-univ/

We thought we had a few million years before the Big Rip, where

I. Danger War

II. Creation Engine Problems, energy flow

III. Big Bang, 4D – 3D

IV. Cantor Cardinality of points

V. It from Bit

VI. God’s law is light & life

V. Entropy is Information

IV. Holographic Principle, fractal dimension

III. Big Bang 3D – 2D -1D

II. Entropy Engine problems, information flow

I. Danger Big Rip

I. It from Bit, information is fundamental

II. Entropy is information

III. How to Create information, Classical Computing, Quantum Computing, etc

IV. Reservior Computing / physical computing

V. All Matter Can Obey

VI. In the Beginning was the Word

V. Pan-psychism

IV. Bodies full of Light

III. How to create – Telestial, Terrestrial, Celestial

II. Creation creates truths

I. Eternal Truth is fundamental

Vision of Hell

January 15th, 2023 by Zen

The young Quaker maid approached their minister. This surprised him greatly, because of all members of their town she was the most rebellious. An outright atheist! But she looked terrified, white as a ghost.

‘Father’, she said, ‘I have seen a horrible vision, a vision of HELL! and I don’t know what to do’.

This shocked him so much he was nearly speechless. But he had her sit down and he inquired about what she saw.

‘There were several of them. They dressed strangely and said they were from the FUTURE!’

The Wizard

January 15th, 2023 by Zen

The Wizard succeeded. He had finally done it. He had overcome every obstacle mortal or eternal, hellish to celestial. He had a way to get what he wanted. He wanted into heaven.

Now it is true, that he hadn’t wanted it enough to

Porn vs Masculinity

As I said recently, we need to better understand and explain the doctrine of Gender and Family. This, by way of rebuke, clarifies Righteous Masculinity, to me.

Therein lies madness

January 15th, 2023 by Zen

And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. Rev. 9:6

You can not learn what it means to be human, after 20, 40, 80 or even 120 years. You are not fully grown or developed in your 30’s, in your 300’s, or even in your 3000’s.

It began when we become immortal. We were promised unending life and perpetual health. We were given machines that provided food, or whatever we could imagine. We rejoiced in our good fortune. Earth was full so we left. We sought a home among the stars.

Our two ships were both a great O’Neill Cylinder, a spacious rotating cylinder with enough room for a thousand NYC, LA, Paris, Rome and Babylon’s packed inside and with room to spare. We lived on the inside of the cylinder and our inverted sky was lit by the metropolises we prided ourselves on.

We joined in bands and tribes of like-minded open-minded people bound only by love. Perpetual youth, perfect bodies, endless time and the hormones to fill it. And fill it we did. The first ship was the more hedonistic. They loved any they pleased. But the second had committed relationships of every kind, Gay, Lesbian, Trans and things presently unimagined.

We slipped the surly bonds of Earth, and of the Sun. We ventured beyond the Milky Way, and Andromeda galaxies and then out of the Local Group. Further we left the Virgo Supercluster of galaxies. And then the larger Laniakea Supercluster. We crossed vast stretches of space, great galaxies and enormous voids. We saw black holes, and super red giants. White dwarfs and blue supergiants.

That is the first thing you learn about navigating the stars. It is rarely where you are at that is the problem. It is where you are headed.

Tachyon field collapse means distance is easy. Too easy. A billion light years in a matter of a day. And we spent years in travel. But finding your way back can be tricky, if not impossible. Not that we cared.

The other thing is,

We did not understand, that if sex is the most important thing, the greatest good, that that leads to some dark places. If pleasure is what is important, a great many other things are not. A lake that only receives but never sacrifices its own water, quickly becomes a dead sea.

We did not so much underestimate our sins, as we did their consequences. The problem was not so much our sins themselves. It was the direction they set us on.

“a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare… Immortal horrors”

Write as a chiasmus, lost in space, lost morally

I once read that we were eggs. And that we must hatch or go bad. We truly had no conception of what bad meant.

Isaiah with Training Wheels – Notes

January 15th, 2023 by Zen

Isaiah ch. 52:13-15

https://knowhy.bookofmormoncentral.org/knowhy/who-is-the-servant-spoken-of-by-christ

Times and Seasons 5:635 identifies the servant as Joseph Smith

Unity of Authorship of Isaiah

Hebrew authors balance the number of blessing and cursings, so that there are equal numbers of both. Half the book of Isaiah (1-39) is primarily curses and condemnations while (40-66) is blessings and comfort. This is not proof of different authorship, but a single author giving different sections different stylistic choices.

Likewise, the practice of temporal/spiritual chiasmi and temporal/spiritual/synthesis chiasmi is something that both happens throughout the text, and divides the text itself into three sections, sometimes  attributed to different authors, misses the point of the structural arrangement.

Isaiah With Training Wheels: Ch. 27

January 15th, 2023 by Zen

The corresponding part of the chiasmus covering chapters 24-27 involves the destruction of Babylon. In contrast, this is about gathering and nurturing Zion. Zion is the garden that God nurtures.

A God’s victory in Heaven, the Great Sword (v. 1)

B The Lord’s vineyard, destined to fill the world (v. 2-6)

C The Lord’s dealings with his people (v. 7-11)

B The Lord’s harvest, gathered from all the world (v. 12)

A God call on earth, the Great Trumpet (v. 13)

Isaiah With Training Wheels: Ch. 26

January 15th, 2023 by Zen

This part discusses a Strong City, as opposed fallen Babylon. This strong city is Zion.

Of course, this isn’t a particular geographical city, but the victory of the Kingdom of God, over the Church of the Devil, or the ways of the World.

Isaiah With Training Wheels: Ch. 25

January 14th, 2023 by Zen

This chapter is the center, or focus of the chiasmus covering chapters 24-27. It discusses the Second Coming, referring to it as a Feast. This chapter also is paraphrased in D&C 58:8-11, which ties this feast to also the Parable of the Wedding Feast (Matt 22:2-14, Luke 14:16-24).

The most important part of the structure here is:

Praise: Individual praise for Temporal salvation (v. 1-5)

Feast: God’s Richest Blessings (v. 6-8)

Praise: Communal Praise for Spiritual Salvation (v. 9-12)

The Path of Ascent and Desire

January 13th, 2023 by G.

The path of ascent and desire is spiritually dangerous.  Nonetheless, if there is anything virtuous, lovely, of good report, or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Hydraulic Despotism

January 13th, 2023 by G.

Many years ago I had a dream.  I suppose I must have read Folk of the Fringe at the time.

In the dream Deseret was an Empire in the inner mountain west.  It was a vaguely post apocalyptic setting.  At least, there was no hint that anything else existed besides us fading off into wastelands and wilderness.

The empire was pretty loose but it did use access to temple rites as a means of keeping the periphery tied in.  A hydraulic despotism but with living water.

I was a colonel (and a sort of priesthood legate) for a roving frontier cavalry unit.   We were visiting places that may not have seen a central authority for decades.  We rode in to some little mountain town in Arizona.  Everyone from the Bishop on down was overjoyed to see us.  At last!   Less happily, we were there to collect taxes, but also do justice, provide various authorities that had been lacking for years, bring news of the outside world, correct any errors that had crept in to their administration both secular and religious and so on.

The problem was, they were in heresy. After so long disconnected their Bishop had made a little endowment house to keep his people happy. With good intentions, like Aaron and the golden calf. His version of the ceremony obviously suffered from memory flaws, I observed, but still had a rough beauty to it. I arrested him. and tore the thing down. Maybe executed him, I don’t recall. They were very unhappy, but what were they going to do, I had a horse drawn cannon and my troopers repeating rifles.

The disturbing thing was that my people come from little mountain towns in Arizona.  In the way things can be in dreams, the little town was  my town and the Bishop was one of my ancestors.

I remember the whole thing left me very unsettled.

A Thousand Times So Many

January 11th, 2023 by G.

When Moses gathered his people together at the edge of the promised land, he was astounded by their numbers.

The Lord your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

-Deut. 1:10.

His reaction?  More!

(The Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!)

-Deut. 1:11.

Who can say what day when you or I will be washed up on some bank while the flood goes furiously on.
