RIP Charlie Kirk

In cases like this, it’s my belief in God’s justice that keeps me going.

It’s my belief that those who get away with any sort of not answering to justice in this life, will eventually have a reckoning for their actions. That reckoning will not be a slow roasting in a pool of lava. With the associated choking fumes of brimstone. But more of a realization of blessings they could of had, but ultimately lost..

We might do ourselves a disservice focusing overly on justice, though I confess that has been a comfort to me many times. I say this because, if one is facing an opponent, their every action is not merely a wrong doing. It is a deliberate provocation. It is war by other means.

Now, I do not fault a tiger for his claws or his bite. There is no sense complaining about either. We have people who want us dead.

While this was a deliberate provocation, it does not follow we should react they way they might want, including militarily. That simply would not be effective, or the right thing to do. I expect the wise thing, in this particular context, will be some very radical civil pacificism, further than we would like.

And in the mean time, we have much more important things to attend to, things that will move the needle much more than any justice.

This will sound unrelated, but it is not.
How many of us have taken Pres. Oakes counsel last conference seriously and become households of production?

If you have not yet, then don’t pray for too much justice yet, because you are not ready. Because when justice does come (it will come) then you will want to be a household that produces something. This is necessary for our survival.
