The young priest asked God to blave the bread.
He had to do the prayer over.
I was grateful, it gave me a chance to pay attention to the words.

I love how Heavenly Father puts up with my endless imperfections and give me so much leeway to repent, over and over again. However, when it comes to sacred ordinances that saves, exalts, and cleanses me, He expects exact perfection. That’s how much He loves me. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, MM. I wouldn’t have made the connection. I do remember the scene, but not that snippet. Had to go look it up.

Tip to all passers, blessers, and congregants: Don’t wear to sacrament meeting a tie that plays Jingle Bells — it may play at an inappropriate moment. (When he got dressed that morning, I’m sure that brother, an elder, had not expected to be called upon to bless the sacrament that Sunday.)
