This looks like some of the Elder’s Quorum activities my brothers or dad would plan; indeed, it looks like a Young Men’s activity that Dad recently hosted (they weeded part of our garden, then threw hatchets and ninja stars, had a fire, and ate s’mores).
My youngest brother’s idea of a good activity is a bonfire (nay, a pyre) of 40 tinder-dry Christmas trees, or an afternoon shooting at the range. Unsurprisingly, he was a popular Elder’s Quorum president amongst the sports bros and outdoors types in our ward.

. . . We shall not mention the time that the police and the fire department showed up at one of his Christmas tree burnings. The fire marshal was NOT happy. Thereafter, we have chosen our locale more cautiously.
