Sow before you Reap

In a tended garden everything is sequestered, labeled, growing at a set speed, and harvest time is obvious; when the garden is wild there is fruit and rot in every season and seeing the good at all becomes a needed skill.

The flower fades to make fruit, the fruit rots to make earth, out of the mother and through the springtime exultances, ripeness and decadence, and home to the mother.

You making haste, haste on decay. Not blameworthy — life is good. Be it stubbornly long or suddenly, a mortal splendor. Meteors are not needed less than mountains. Shine, perishing Republic.

This is hardly primarily male.
Nor is sex per se, the greatest violation of virtue.

People want home, and companionship and emotional intimacy, and the intangible benefits of marriage and home and children, without the hard work.

The history of the world, and particularly right now, is a great deal of effort into finding alternatives to what God commands.

I think the conflict between the sexes is the destruction of the wicked, writ small upon every day interactions. The inability to form relationships is the same as plague or invading armies – it is a people being destroyed by their own actions.
Sometimes, it is an excess of sex, but more often now days, it is something else entirely. An absence of sex is not necessarily more virtuous, if it does not lead to family, relationship and covenant.
