Water in the Exodus

There is something interesting about water in the Exodus. Rivers to blood, the parting of the Red Sea, and then several times when Moses had to bring water out of stone.
The primordial chaos, entropy, the Fall–too much of it kills, but you need some of it.

Also, I noticed (interestingly), that one of the blessings Moses is promised in Moses 1 is
“thou shalt be made stronger than many waters; for they shall obey thy command as if thou wert God.”
Also, Moses means ‘drawn from water,’ or something similar

The curses that involve water in Exodus seem to be inversions of ordinances (clean water to blood, instead of water cleansing one of blood, for example), whereas the times when Moses must produce water for the children of Israel, the first time he throws a tree in the water at Marah, which ‘becomes sweet’ (tree of life/love of God, anyone?), and when he strikes the rock to produce water (living water from a foundation stone, anybody?) it’s mentioned in the text that he’s instituting an ordinance. Fascinating how I never noticed that before tonight during our family study.
