A Dream that Didn’t Produce Much

I dreamed that preparatory to a long drive, I did some internet research and discovered a big discount food warehouse along the way. I stopped off to get supplies. I shopped there, read the signs, picked up items, returned some, went up and down most of the aisles, then checked out. That was the dream. There were no jumps, symbols, or background knowledge like you usually get in dreams.

If this was my dream, I would watch out for opportunities to get supplies and food storage.
Mundane, perhaps, but that is what life is mare of.

I occasionally have dreams like that, except I’m shopping with no clear end in sight, and the aisles keep going forever, and I really hate those dreams because I hate shopping without a specific purpose.
The infinite library, on the other hand . . . (Although I had a dream in which I distinctly remember that the library had books 1, then 3-7 of a series, which was beyond frustrating.)

Did we just invent the genre of nerd horror?

After I finished the Narnia series, I dreamt of a vast library wall, stretching higher up and further to the side than I could see, filled with the future adventures of the protagonists.
I really wanted to continue reading. That dream scene is still vivid.

Since we’re going off-topic anyway,
Yes, G, that sounds about right. It really was the most indescribably frustrating dream. And then I woke up and realized that the series only had 5 books, anyway.
I’ve had so many library dreams, including one where I ended up going inside books and living through their events, and another where characters I had particularly loved came through to the infinite library from their books. I have a surprising amount of infinite library dreams, I guess. There was also the one where I got into the infinite library from another dream in which I was seeking a hidden treasure, which turned out to be the entrance to said library. And while the shelving may change, the library itself always has this undefinably familiar feeling, and I always know just where to go to get what I need.
