It is also a fact that the killer at the Nashville christian school had absorbed these ideas.

Yet it is also a fact that we live in a media environment that wildly amplifies bad news and hijacks our sense of what is salient.  Any sense of immediacy you feel is a chain thrown over you.

It is also a fact that mentally ill people are mentally ill, as is usually the case with these mass killers.  There are limits to what one can do to prevent mentally ill people doing great evils.

It is also a fact that nearly everything that will be said by commenters on this will fall into predictable rote categories that could easily be written out in advance by a mediocre chatAI.  Some of it could be true, but it isn’t written or said because it is true.

This list of facts is not meant to satisfy anyone or lead to any predetermined conclusion.  Indeed, it hardly could.

Let us turn from facts to considering truths.

It is a truth that many or most of the evils in our world are preventable enough and we are collectively and individually greatly to blame that we have not prevented them.

It is a truth that Christians should read the signs of the times and prepare accordingly.

It is a truth that we cannot solve evil no matter how hard we try.  Christ is the only solution.

Nothing that is said or done

can fix or justify or salvage the killer killing those innocent kids at the Nashville christian school.  Only Christ can heal it.
