This is what fascinates me about the City of Enoch, as well as the original City of Salem, lead by Melchizedek. They have had a solid 5000 years to do this.
Their return is one of the last things to occur before (or at the same time as) the Second Coming. When they come, they may be mistaken for a planet. There is probably a reason for that. I could wav long on that, including a certain hymn by Eliza R Snow, but this is sufficient.
It is a fascinating thing to ponder, according to the D&C, heaven will need to be brought down to earth, and earth will need to be brought up to heaven.

I am not particularly optimistic about NASA getting us back to the Moon, much less any further. It is possible, but I am not impressed with NASA.
Elon at least has a genuine shot at getting us off this rock. But even if he is successful, we don’t have the tech to get us further than the few nearest planets.
The Lord will need to reveal to us how to do it.

It is very easy to underestimate exponential growth. Our minds are not naturally built to comprehend it.
Consider a Millennium of growth. If we have a 1000 years of people having 4 children by age 33 (which is a pretty low bar), then your population grows by 1.3 billion times. And if you have 5000 years, then you have 4*10^45, which is a 4 billion billion billion billion billion, which isn’t quite as large at the number of atoms in the Earth.
