The Hormonality of Contraception

May 11th, 2022 by Patrick Henry

The Sexual Revolution seems to make you fat, sad, and unlibidinous.  Its weapon is the pill.  The effect is to unwoman women.  Now there is a version for men that does the same thing, chemical castration.

It was there in the name all along.  The Sexual Revolution, i.e., the overturning of the sexes.

Do not even get me started on hormonal birth control. It is truly a scourge.

Just imagine, all of those hormones in the water.
I can’t imagine that could cause any problems down the line.

Tangentially related in terms of “evils and designs which do and will exist in the hearts of conspiring men in the last days”:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/drug-overdose-deaths-reached-a-record-in-2021-fueled-by-fentanyl-11652277600

107,000 opioid overdose deaths in 2021 (a 15% increase over 2020.) 2/3rds of which had fentanyl.

Someone wants your kids gay, bi, sterile, or dead.

Ok, the article was better than I thought.

It is as if we are living in the Matrix willingly, and wondering why artificial life is not as fulfilling as natural life.

… Come, you spirits
That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here,
And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full
Of direst cruelty. Make thick my blood.
Stop up th’ access and passage to remorse,
That no compunctious visitings of nature
Shake my fell purpose, nor keep peace between
Th’ effect and it. Come to my woman’s breasts
And take my milk for gall, you murd’ring ministers,
Wherever in your sightless substances
You wait on nature’s mischief. Come, thick night,
And pall thee in the dunnest smoke of hell,
That my keen knife see not the wound it makes,
Nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark
To cry “Hold, hold!”

I will stick my neck out there for all who are upset by my words to pile on.

The prior Prophets (and Catholics) were right all along on birth control. We didn’t listen and continue to suffer the generational consequences.

Whatever positive, and there are certainly some positives, of birth control, they can in no way outweigh the net good of more children on earth.

As a medical intervention, I can certainly make arguments. As a form of preventing “unwanted” children, I can make arguments.

But in the case of so-called unwanted children, the solution is to change the minds of those who are so corrupted by the adversary to make them un-want children. Not to placate their satanic desires. And the best solution for anyone, even those who are demonic, at changing their hearts is holding their own child in their hands. True, that doesn’t solve all problems, and the natural man, screaming babies, scarce resources, etc. all put pressure. But more good than harm is done by another child being born — if we can’t put faith in that, we might as well turn this planet in to an inhospitable rock orbiting the sun already.

Medical intervention? I acknowledge the utility there, but on the whole, I’ve seen equally as many women who were told another pregnancy would kill them, that had a child anyway as I have been told by women that another pregnancy will kill them. It’s a tragic sacrifice indeed that many throughout history have made. And it’s hard to ever imagine a child or family being better off without their mother. But in simple generational math alone, we can see how a mother potentially sacrificing her life to bring a child into being yields far more fruit than abstaining until she eventually dies anyway. Again, a question of faith here — and this is a deeply personal thing so I realize the response this might cause.

I don’t have any judgement on any particular person, per se, but I’m just looking at things from a macro perspective and considering the net good. A mother who might only live half or less of a life, or a child who never will? Or a child who might, and go on to bring innumerable children for throughout all generations of time.

Please don’t be angry at me unless you want to tell me daughter she shouldn’t exist. Life always deserves the chance. I don’t think we possess enough wisdom to say otherwise.

@ sute,
Honestly, I kind of agree with you. Some of my friends were having a conversation a few months ago in which they were griping that some women should just have less babies because they ‘can’t be themselves’ with so many children underfoot. I held my tongue in the moment, but what I wanted to say was,
“Well. Your mothers had 4-6 children. So which of your siblings do you wish hadn’t been born?”
They are dear friends, but I don’t think they have really thought through the generational consequences of their (quite liberal) positions on various subjects.
