How to Serve Children

Ah yes, isn’t is wonderful how they are trying to protect children from their parents’ beliefs by catching their imaginations early? And giving them concepts they can definitely understand and can act upon with help from the adults in their lives (that aren’t their parents)?

More seriously, their entire agenda reminds me of that couplet from Alexander Pope:
Vice is a monster of so frightful a mien,
As to be hated, needs but to be seen.
Yet seen too oft, grown familiar with her face,
We first endure, then pity, then embrace.

So the aliens in the Twilight Zone had a cookbook titled “To Serve Man”; does this mean the devils’ cookbook is titled “To Serve Children”?

I predict TFR will be below 1.0 by 2030 – 2033. I wonder what the actuaries forsee in that regard. I don’t have sufficient math/actuarial skills to make a firm forecast.

I probably need to look up the current edition of the Harvard-freshman survey, which I referred to in those prior “younger=gayer” topic posts.

I read an interesting thread that said it isn’t overtly about sex, but about power. Enabling predators is incidental. This may be true for many people.

Zen, Daws has a really good point about the one-two punch of CRT and Queer Theory.

But I think he’s a bit naive about the setting up of children to be abused. It isn’t just a welcomed side-effect, it was a design-goal.

I didn’t dig deep enough to see if he’s LDS or other Christian. But atheist conservatives are not effective soldiers, mainly because they don’t understand who the real enemy is, or what the war is really about.

Daws appears to be some kind of Evangelical.

In my views, it is not a single vice, but entire constellations of sin that are propelling this forward.

Which further reinforces my view that the only real solution for the US is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Nothing else is going to cut it.

Time for people of Faith to quit Disney + forever. Stop giving your money to people who hate you and want to mutilate your children.

For those with eyes to see and ears to hear, this is not new and not a surprise. We knew this day would come. America’s relationship with entertainment has been unhealthy for a VERY long time and it’s time to draw boundaries.

I have trash talked Disney for years, but even so, I resisted canceling my account. I really didn’t want to, but this afternoon I did. There is no sense in saying we could cross the plains, if we can’t do without our favorite movies or TV.

At some point, there will come a separation of the Righteous and the Wicked. If we can’t live without their media, we are not going to make it.

Two additional points:

I suspect this is merely the beginning. Netflix might be next. Or other media. But it isn’t stopping here.

Also, don’t think that if we hurt them financially, things will change. Power, pride, hatred are all more potent than Greed, when you are already rich. This isn’t primarily about money on either side. The Spiritual roots go deeper than that.

Netflix has already been on this road for years. I can think of at least four of Netflix’s series off the top of my head – that were marketed to children and teens! – that featured LGBT characters and situations.

The entertainment industry has already told us where we can stick our values. Don’t allow them into your homes.

Further thoughts:

We are living in a situation not unlike Isaac Asimov’s End of Eternity. In this novel, Eternity is run by histrionic old men who are forbidden to have families or form attachments with women. They have no idea what normal human existence is like. Yet they exist to manipulate society outside of time to create their vision of The Greater Good. But since they have no clue, they end up creating more problems than they solve.

Celebrity culture and the entertainment industry is the same. Look the rich and powerful of Hollywood and you’ll see a dumpster fire of divorces and scandals and drug addiction and abuse – and yet these are the people who think they have the right to dictate Social Good to the rest of the world? The morally bankrupt have no right to tell people how to raise their children.

Note how the events at the Oscars have been discussed nonstop for a whole week. WHY? The people involved don’t care about the general population, and certainly not people with religious values. They are undeserving of our time and attention and we must refuse to give it to them.

Deprived of mass entertainment, perhaps our own people will be motivated to produce art and literature of our own.

I think the Priests of Baal were a bit more honest about it all, though their fellow tradesman at Disney would be recognized and could join right in the trad. festivities immediately.
