Your tax dollars at play

December 17th, 2009 by Bertie

Because tearing down a building with a giant backhoe seems like too much fun to be “work”, what?

Not that I’d dirty my hands with it. I’ll leave those kinds of entertaining diversions to mechanics, techies, and other such chaps.

Vader, old man, is it just me or does Ron Curry bear a remarkably likeness to Palpatine?

The old Palpatine, before assuming his present responsibilities, perhaps. You’ll recall that there was some unpleasantness with the leaders of the old order that significantly altered his appearance.

If you will pardon the interposition, sir, may I suggest that “tax dollars” is not quite the right description? I believe the Americans are financing their present round of economic stimuli almost entirely through deficit spending, so that tax revenues are not actually involved to any significant extent.
