Good. I’d like to think that the men tasked with defending my country are at least a little more competent than the ones from Harvard tasked with running my financial system.

When a middle manager in finance gets it wrong, folks lose some money and, at worst, he is fired. Probably with a severance package.
When a middle manager in the military gets it wrong, people die, including possibly himself.
Motivation is everything.

Oh, and if he is as clumsy as he is stupid, he risks being choked to death by his superior. At least in the most disciplined militaries.
