Become as a Little Child and as an Adult
Loosely inspired by Father’s Day, I intended to put together a JG collection on “becoming as a little child.” While so doing I started to wonder if we were also meant to become as an adult, and if so, what does that mean?
What does becoming as a little child mean?
It means praying where you transparently ask for what you genuinely want.
Become the way a little child becomes — with relish.
Second consciousness — becoming a little child as an adult is not the same as remaining a little child More from Bruce Charlton.
Having an imagination, especially about heaven, the way little children do.
You have vast potential and will grow enormously.
Are we still supposed to be an adult?
Yes,. Specifically, we are supposed to become like Christ. Many scriptures and ordinances and personal experiences on that point.
Unlike being a little child, there are multiple ways to be an adult. The kind of adult we are supposed to be is specifically like Christ.
One of the reasons behind becoming a little child is that we have become adults wrong, we are lesser adults, so we need to get back to a place of potential and development so we can become adults right.
Our adulthood is a local optimum.
