Not all lawsuits are baseless

I foresee a justified one coming out of this.

It’s just that they tend to be quietly settled when they’re this clear-cut.* As this one likely will be.

*And, yes, it’s probably dangerous to assume the journalist who wrote this story got the fact pattern right. I live for danger.

The law, in its infinite majesty

Lets you sue the estate of someone who negligently gets himself hit by a train if one of his flying body parts strikes and injures you.

I am not making this up.

And I’m not saying this is wrong; I don’t know how else the judge could have ruled. I’ts just that it’s exceedingly weird. And tragic.
