Church Attack in Michigan

One of our congregations has been shot at in Michigan and the building set on fire. There are preliminary reports of several victims.
There is never a good way to die but being found at church on Sunday is a good way to live.
We are used to hearing about this sort of thing from the saints overseas. But now America’s long vacation from history appears to be on hiatus. I, and notably president Nelson, are very optimistic about what the future is going to hold, but we may have rough waters until we cross to the other side

The guy apparently was a deranged anti Mormon. Some reports are that he asked if people believed in Jesus or Joseph Smith before shooting. He also allegedly had a conversation with a local city councilor candidate where he kept bringing up Mormons being the antichrist a few days earlier.

Terrible to hear. Happened not too far from me. Would LDS permit local CCW? Under Michigan law it’s legal only if the Pastor/Priest approved, otherwise it’s a “gun free zone” which doesn’t do much good against people planning to break the law and commit murder anyway.
