Virtue Synthesis and Vice Synthesis

Interesting, but I am not really following what you are doing here. Could we see an example in action?

I am happy you made another post on this. Now with a surrounding black box – I guess that is an improvement? A few years ago I avidly read all your posts on this that I could find. To me this was that important not just as ‘theory’ but as a bridge to reach secularists. Partly as it implies Logos – something they will almost always shy away from. I mean I might have misread what you meant, but it opened up a window for me.

for the other commenter: it’s about the paired nature of virtues. Maybe chivarly was the seed? Anyway. that virtue is something like a synergy of courageous + courteous. the first is an active ‘hot’ attribute and the other a ‘cold’ attribute.
In the diagram those would be the white boxes in the two corners of the square.

I guess the reason for the black box corners now also surround the whole box is maybe how symbolically such virtues end up surrounded by their own doubly-reversed doppelganger pair. In the case of rare chivarly [courageous+virtuous] now trapped by cowardly +coercive (a form of Abrahamic evil). The human brain can be sold this because cowardly (unlike courageous) has the ‘cold’ attribute. and coercive (unlike courteous) has the ‘hot’ attribute. kind of hard to explain.

It may seem like virtues stand alone and are solitary sentinels defending logos against evil. or maybe it seems only occasionaly are virtues effective as a team. but you think such boxes are some useless abstraction. Or that a simple shuffling of half the attributes is too mundane. Yet I see that diagram as why some people invert really believe their evil is good. and may be a new way of getting this across. How the virtue pairs as strong as they are, are often nearly helpless.
