D&C When Everyone Else is Done
August 03rd, 2025 by G.
“G,” the masses clamor, “do you have something you could share about D&C 81-84 after everyone except the clamoring masses are done with them?”
“Yes, my masses,” I reply. “Clamor no more.”
- “Hearken to your calling”–D&C 81:1. We think of a calling as a thing. Synonym, “job.” Here, “calling” is an action. A calling is a received call.
- “A revelation to Joseph Smith and six elders”–D&C 84:1. These things were not done in a corner.
- “For without this no man can see the face of God, even the Father, and live.” D&C 84:22. I woke up this morning with the idea that the reason the wicked flee the presence of God is because He is so inspiring.

I always appreciate your insights, G.
I recently listened to a video pointing out that the scriptures don’t really talk about (mostly) the Restoration of the Gospel, the Priesthood, etc. What it talks about is the Restoration of His people. (D&C 84:2) This is really all about people, not just doctrines or things. People.
