The D&C When Everyone Else is Done
June 20th, 2025 by G.
D&C 60:4 — I think he is calling you his jewel.
D&C 61:20 — “I was angry yesterday, but not today.”
D&C 61:36 — “be of good cheer, little children; for I am in your midst, and I have not forsaken you;” I really want to know what “I am in your midst” means.
D&C 63 — The first few verses here are almost Calvinist, which reminds me that I need to write up a post on why OwenBroadcast is wrong about the LDS doctrine on Satan.
D&C 63:14-19 — Adultery and lies closely allied.
D&C 63:66 — “Through patience greater glory.”

Mostly unrelated, but the newest batch of hymns dropped a few days ago, and they have “The Lord’s My Shepherd” – which features one of the most graceful settings of Psalm 23, called Brother James’ Air. They have also officially added “His Voice As The Sound”, set to the absolutely haunting tune Samanthra. I requested that one back when they were calling for suggestions, and I’m totally stoked that they added it to the newest official Church hymnbook!
