I am told that Elon Musk has asked for more positive news. Here I am, answering the call:
There are more 84-year old South Koreans than there are 1-year old South Koreans.
Everyone loves Grandmas.

I prefer not to point out that many of those 84-year old South Koreans are not Grandmas.

That’s sad news – grandmas (and grandpas) with no grandbabies to cuddle. My parents have a surfeit of them – 15 at last count, with some old enough to have children of their own soon, and the youngest just 2 months old.

Back on the subject – and ‘on the sweetness of Mormon life’ – today my youngest brother blessed his baby. Between the outlaws (us, punnily) and the in-laws, we filled almost 1/3 of the chapel. And that was just the siblings and their kids that were able to make it!
The youngest of my nephews sat solemnly on Grandpa’s lap for almost the entire meeting, watching the proceedings. We all got many sticky hugs this weekend from the younger cohort of nieces and nephews, and lots of time to play, as my sister came to stay with us early. Grandma got to hold the baby for several hours this evening. All is right in the universe, even if the house is topsy-turvy.
