Primary Program
As long as there is a primary program, the Church will not fall.
One set of youngsters were asked to share their favorite miracle Jesus did.
One little champ informed us that his favorite miracle was when “Jesus fed 5000 people with 2 loaves of bwead and FIVE FISH.”
The next child, a little girl, said “my favorite miracle from Jesus is I was lost and my Dad found me.” Golly. Hard to laugh and cry at the same time, but I managed it.
Then–the strange power of cheap music–the kids sang some new song–MAAAAASTER of the Ocean, Tamer of the Deep–and I choked up. I wrote a quick poem that I will give myself a few days to polish up and then when I haven’t done any polishing will post here as is.
P.S. I was going to title this post Primary Program Part 974 as a Drollery, but I find that in these perilous times with the impending global warming crisis there is just no room for frivolity.

My little nephew asked for me to play Master of the Ocean at his baptism. His life has been more than a little stormy this past year, as his mom’s been in the hospital more often than not. He understands the need for the Lord’s peace better, I think, than some adults.

Our primary program was so good. We asked the sunbeams “who is Jesus?” One said “he’s the best one in-da world!” Another: “he’s the glowing one.” To “what would jesus say to you if he were here?” one girl said “he’d say I’m his favorite child.” And my own little three-year-old guy answered, to the question “what do you love about Jesus”, “I love his feathers!”
Haha. I don’t know!! But I loved it!!
