Christ Three Times in Lehi’s Dream

There are three symbols for Jesus in Lehi’s dream.

The iron rod is the word of God.  This means scripture, but also the Word of God is one of Christ’s titles.

There is a dark chasm that those who stray from the iron rod fall into.  This is also described as the word of God.  1 Ne. 12:18.

Then there is the tree of life.

We have here Christ’s firm guidance through trouble, his stern justice,  and the sweetness of his love.
