The wonderful choir numbers. The less formal Saturday night adult session which can sometimes be the best part of conference. The realization that all of the priesthood keys necessary for the saving ordinances you need in this life are held by people in the room.

Your old crusty unfiltered Stake President at the evening session: “I was talking to the area authority about why this session seems more spiritual. Its partly because of you, brothers and sisters, being more faithful to show up on a Saturday. Its mostly the reverence without the kids, but its partly because of you.”

Once we had President Oaks at our evening session for some reason and he just let it rip. His GC talks, though engaging, are obviously filtered through several layers of GA.
The modern world makes unfiltered immediacy and authenticity so rare. It’s precious when you can get it.
