By Power

I say unto you, the redemption of Zion must needs come by power;
For ye are the children of Israel, and of the seed of Abraham, and ye must needs be led out of bondage by power

And what kind of power is this? Physical power to do a Crusade?
It is Priesthood power. Which is why Zion’s Camp failed physically, but grew the people involved spiritually.

Similarly: many full-time proselyting missions are not-so successful in terms of the ostensible/stated goal of bringing souls to Christ. But they are good for training and growing the people who serve missions.

I think it would take power in every sense. Priesthood power encompasses everything

Not quite everything.
“No power or influence can or ought to be maintained by virtue of the priesthood, only by persuasion, by long-suffering, by gentleness and meekness, and by love unfeigned;”
One can read this verse, and the verses that follow, to see that some forms of power cannot be emcompassed in the priesthood. Those forms of power are forbidden us.

The forms of power are all there, but not all ways to use it. God can command the Flood of Noah, or command armies, but you can’t use the Priesthood to become an angry Incredible Hulk.
