Me too! I also have an insatiable desire to create. I’ve found that if I’m not working on creating something, be it a design for a garden or a story or a crafty project, I quickly become depressed and miserable. Not this time of year!

Right now I’m working on planting my gardens out. It’s so fun thinking through where this or that flower might grow best, anticipating what colors the Glass Gem corn will show me this year, watching the strawberries grow with eager anticipation (Strawberry crepes! Daifuku mochi! Strawberry jam!) – and although I didn’t create the plants that grow, knowing I have a hand in designing something that will bring joy and beauty into my world – now, that’s a delight.

There is a line in CS Lewis’s Till We Have Faces – “I was with book as a woman is with child.”
