Andreessen’s Law of Leadership Failure: It’s not leadership failure; the leaders are in on it.
I would replace leader with manager, but yes.

Dr. C.’s take on it, as a false-dichotomy:

Then there’s a gospel-connected principle/rule/whatchamacallit of leadership:
Every group of people gets the leaders that they collectively either need or that they deserve.

Segueing to church leaders….
We got a new stake pres last year. The powers that be gerrymandered, er, I mean re-drew, the local 3 stakes’ boundaries, along with some ward boundaries (to create a 4th stake in Central Indiana, and) so that a 41-year old small-rural-town bishop/part-time-farmer could be called as Pres of one of the Big City stakes.
Perhaps it’s inaccurate to say “gerrymandered” because the 4 stakes are now sort-of kind-of pie-wedge shaped so that inner-city wards, suburb wards, and rural wards/branches are evenly distributed among the stakes – seemingly to evenly divvy up both “burdens” and “blessings.”
I’ve had a chat with him. I am impressed. All the SPs I’ve known have been mighty in terms of receiving inspiration, including this guy. And I have to say that his difference in style from the previous ones is noticeable. Something is afoot.
