Recent Norway law makes “hate” speech against homosexuality or transsexuality illegal, even in private. Sentences range up to three years.
A Finnish Member of Parliament is currently on trial for quoting the Bible on homosexuality.
This month Canada has made it a crime to urge someone to repent of homosexual sexual desire, or even, at least that’s how the law is worded, of their sexual behavior. A majority of influential Americans see that and think we should do the same.
Your worldview needs to accommodate the fact that many decisionmakers and influential people generally despise you and your beliefs and will punish them if they can.

Are you allowed to say homsexuality is wrong?
Disgusting?
Is that a hate crime to say it’s disgusting? Not that disgust has anything to do with my disagreement, but I’m wondering if visceral feelings have been criminalized. Do all forms and types of sexual stimulation have to be endorsed? Are we not permitted to share our true feelings on them?
Is it illegal for a homosexual person to voice their disgust with heterosexuality? If a gay man says the idea of being with a woman repulses him, is that not also a hate crime?
My concern with homosexuality is it intentionally distorts the purpose of sexual reproduction; it intentionally fails to pass on the DNA of the two individuals, it intentionally limits the existence of future generations.
And here’s the catch — none of those things have to do with disgust, and all of them apply in some measure to birth control. Who knew that when society embraced birth control as the ideal standard nearly all the time, we’d lay the rational framework that makes no difference between two women engaging in sexual stimulation and a married couple doing the same without any desire for offspring.
Tough words that probably indict most of us. But our choice to avoid children is on the net likely more harmful than good. Despite their being some obvious instances of birth control being necessary and proper.

When Religion is outlawed, only Outlaws will have religion.
Sute – call it a Demographic Suicide Cult. And no, I would be shocked to see the laws applied equally. We must prosper in spite of it.
In D&C 133:23, it talks about the oceans being driven to the north. And I have wondered, what would happen to the countries in the north, and why God would utterly destroy them. But, as with my confusion why we needed the Family Proclamation, God has clarified the matter conclusively.

The Church has three operating temples in the Nordic countries and a fourth temple has been announced. The Saints in these countries are relatively few in number, but strong in their faith. President Nelson has recently spoken glowingly on this.
