Accelerate to Light Speed
I dreamed that here we all were, our rickety selves (but somehow we were also metal machines). If we worked ourselves hard enough our parts would snap and our builder would then weld it back on, but sometimes in a more structurally sound place. Over time, the best of us were a mass of big welds and repurposed parts.
When we got into the shape we were meant to be in , then the maker would throw us into a kind of high heat oven. It would dissolve the welds into our core structure and make our core structure one solid, indestructible piece. It also made all our other parts fragile and friable.
Because no worries, as soon as we get out of the oven we accelerate and accelerate. The faster we go, the more of our excess shabby parts just abrade away.
Some of us–for some reason in my dream they were shaped like thorns on a rose–accelerate all the way to light speed and then transcend.
