How Beautiful
October 16th, 2017 by John Mansfield
Isaiah 52:7. Explained by Abinadi in Mosiah ch. 15 to the priests of Noah who were too lazy to understand it. Partially repeated in Nahum 1:15. Cited by Jesus in 3rd Nephi 20:40. And Paul in Romans 10:15. Also Doctrine and Covenants 128:19.

THANK YOU! While reading this post with the links, I *finally* figured out why the prophet said their -feet- would be beautiful. It’s the ancient Hebrew literary technique of exaggeration/whatever.
People used to always walk barefoot or in open sandals, and therefore the feet would be the dirtiest and ugliest part (or visible part) of the body.
Therefore, the saying means “How beautiful EVEN the dirtiest/ugliest part of him that … etc. THAT’S how beautiful he’s going to be!”
