A 10-year-old Webelos scout was getting ready to start pack meeting. He would conduct the opening, and I told him to find someone for the prayer. He thought the fellow sitting next to the other den leader was a good candidate.
“Wendy, could your, your [pause grasping for the right word, not part of his standard vocabulary] your boyfriend say the opening prayer.”
“My boyfriend? You mean my husband?”
“Husband! That’s right; husband. Could he say the prayer?” And so the bishop, husband of the den leader, offered the opening prayer at the appropriate time.

Meanwhile, Putin has signed the ban on American adoption of Russian orphans (who now have lost their biggest opportunity to get out of the dismal Russian orphanages) and is calling on the other nations of the world to do the same.
