So her first abortion was a horrible experience, but she not only lacked the resolution to change the behavior patterns that led to it; she felt compelled to go through with a second abortion by simply imagining the pressure from family and friends.

Showing there’s no guilt you can’t overcome if you have Oprahesque candor and other people to blame.

It was all Tarkin’s fault.

My take-away from it was that she finally “woke up” after a few years of both career and motherhood, and realized “oh, I didn’t really have to do that.”
