Christian?  Check.

Additional scripture?  Check.

Modern prophesy?  Check.

Eternal marriage?  Check.

Also, we made the desert bloom, and they’ve got Johnny Appleseed.

They’ve got William Blake, and we’ve got … er, Eliza Snow?  May Swenson?  Ina Coolbrith?

Is there any trans-demoninational love between us and our Swedenborgian brothers?

I am fascinated by the Book of Mormon’s teachings (i.e. doctrines) about deity. I am almost equally fascinated with the many scholarly attempts to force fit it into pre-existing categories to make it seem safe. [1] (more…)
