I love how Adam Miller sidesteps the question. But how dare Peterson ask questions based on a single sentence about embracing atheists as part of Mormonism? He’s so judgmental. I wouldn’t let *him* sit beside me at church, that’s for sure.

This story fits very well my own view of the divine character.

Paul says that he’s all things to all men. I wouldn’t put it past the divinity whose humility allows it to stoop to mortality to be the same. So while I’m not surprised to hear that God oozes tenderness to some, to folks like me and my good friend here, he reminds us that He isn’t for taking lightly.

Zen, can you tanslate that last bit into simpler english? Statistics was not my strong suit in math.

Terms also need to be defined. Is “fertility rate” a fraction of the entire population, or a fraction of women of child-bearing age?

The quote seems to be saying that the size of the LGBT population has an effect on overall fertility (if expressed as a fraction of the entire population) 10% greater than its own fraction of the population.

Really, Adam, I can’t believe you fall for this tripe. You and Elder Oaks, who, to his discredit, made the same implausible claim about gay rights and religious liberty quite some time ago. Thus demonstrating yet again that that a prophet does not always speak as a prophet, especially when he is socially conservative.
