President Monson was Mormon

January 05th, 2018 by G.

President Monson was Mormon, the New York Times is shocked to report.

Yes this is awful, biased coverage. But I can’t gin up any outrage, I’m laughing too hard.

This is ‘things coming to a point’ – part of which is the gloves coming-off, the pretences being-dropped, and the *real* agenda becoming visible to all having eyes to see-with (which is, admittedly, not all that many people…).

The obituaries editor attempted to deflect criticism in an article published today. Of course, the editor continued to dig the hole deeper. The message that the times wished to send – I.e., that Mormons are foreign to the American project, deluded, uninteresting, prejudiced, but dangerous and unworthy of any respect whatsoever – is even more obvious in the follow on statement.

To the extent that the New York Times represents NYC, then its coverage of Pres. Monson’s death shows that the cosmopolitan spirit of NYC is dead, if it ever lived in the first place. That the SL Tribune could produce a more informed obituary speaks volumes.

BUT – the editor’s statement is still good for laughs.

My response here. Thinking about editing it own and trying to get it published somewhere. Tell me if I have stated anything baldy against fact inside it.
