Primary Program

October 24th, 2016 by G.

On the sweetness of Mormon life.  Your kindergarten son leans over after the priest recites the sacrament prayer again, this time correctly. “Dad, he forgot to say,’ which was shed for them correct, dad?” Correct. You are impressed.  He has apparently managed to memorize the prayers.

Minutes later, he goes to the stand for the primary program, and confidently and clearly mangles his line.

The kids sing loud. One little girl sings louder than they all. You covet her for your own.

One kid falls. Boy # 1 says “again!” Boy #2 says,” I didn’t do it!”

When the bishopric member closes the meeting with a few words, your son plays with the buttons to jiggle the podium up and down.
