Ivan Wolfe’s father has passed away. When I read about the man, I get a sense of how it is that God can say people are his glory.
It sounds like he was a wonderful man. And I finally understand why Ivan reacted so badly, way back, when I expressed my dislike for wrestling. I still despise wrestling, but it sounds like I have reason to admire at least one former wrestling couch.
“There are over a dozen men in this ward who would make excellent bishops and nearly all of them would be great stake presidents – not one would make a halfway decent scoutmaster.”
Is a truth that I sense many of the Brethren quietly and unhappily recognize.
Thanks for the link, Adam.
Vader – it’s all water under the bridge, at this point.
