Breasts want to be free!

Why should I be expected to cover up when breast-feeding in church? If it makes you uncomfortable, that’s your problem: I’m not responsible for your filthy male instincts. I demand a church policy protecting my ostentatious show of motherhood!

Wherefore, if breastfeeding in Sacrament Meeting without covering up makes my brother to offend, I will breastfeed no infant in Sacrament Meeting without covering up while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

Paul, that was extremely insightful, but if your brother is breastfeeding, your problems are worse than I thought.

It’s not the crime, it’s the cover-up.

Gotta love lactivism.

Given the ease of using a modesty cover, one can’t help but feel that there’s an element of exhibitionism in all this.

MC, there are two problems created by a small number of people as I undertand the issue:
1. There are some nursing mothers who think being required to use a modesty cover is unreasonable.
2. There are some uptight people who think nursing in public even with a modesty cover is improper.
The whole controversy ignores the fact that most nursing mothers do use a modesty cover, and the vast majority of the public doesn’t mind women nursing in public with a modesty cover.

I’ve often heard it said by the pro-topless types that if we just got over our prudish hangups about breasts, then they would be just like any other body part.
To which I say that a world in which a naked boob is no more titillating than a nice calf muscle is a tragic world indeed.

In that vein, I have often wondered, if when the currently promiscuous masses are resurrected, if they will still be interested or tempted by sex. They may even regard (assuming the there is sex in heaven, and in my opinion, there is) the Celestial Kingdom as a bit odd for still being involved in such a trite and carnal affair when they have progressed beyond it.

Zen, are you refering to “TK smoothies”?

Actually, I was thinking of the mental/psychological equivalent of a TK smoothie.
Will all the mortal desires they have stay the same, or will they be disgusted by their own previous excesses and swing to the opposite extreme? I expect that disgust and a vague air of superiority will be far easier for them to manage than proactively living in readiness to keep the commandment of Chastity and Virtue.

Eh, I’m not sure what you’re getting at. All resurrected beings will obey all the laws of God, including the law of chastity. And…. the only married folks will be the exalted ones in the CK. I think it safe to deduce that no one else will be having sex.
The two lower levels in the CK live “singly and separately”, so we assume that the TrK and TlK live singly and separately too.

Quite right.
But are the inhabitants of Telestial Kingdom going to continue to lust after sex? I expect not, but what will they feel then? And what will they think of those who get more than they ever did? (It is my feeling that there is sex in the Celestial Kingdom, though this is obviously not doctrine)
My opinion of sin, is that it gradually increases your hunger, while increasing your distaste, and diminishing your enjoyment. So, what should this suggest for sinners in eternity? How will they look on it?

My belief is that at the resurrection the bodies and souls of the saved are remade to remove from them every sphere in which they will not do the will of God. Only the exalted will receive every sphere and capacity.

My injuries at Mustafar were quite extensive. I think I’ve mentioned before that quite a lot of bits and pieces are missing now. I’ve had first-hand experienced with, um, having certain spheres removed.
Based on that experience, I’d say the unexalted will view with tremendous relief the state of being freed from the burden of sexual desire.
But it’s all speculation.
