Man alleged to have stolen school bus

From Knoxville, Tennessee:     

Tennessee school bus driver accused of stealing and selling a school bus is no longer approved to drive for the school district, officials said.

Police estimate the value of the bus, which was later found abandoned, at $2000. Shouldn’t parents be uneasy about sending their kids to school in a bus that has depreciated that much?
