I have often heard veterans shrug off a hostile press with the observation that, after all, the military is in the business of defending our rights. Including freedom of the press.

You will forgive me for wondering if our veterans are so keen on the idea that they are fighting for the right of the press to increase the danger to our soldiers.

I’m not.

As an active duty veteran, I’m most definitely not keen on the press putting us in greater danger.
