Attack Campaign Donations on the Demand Side

I’ve read an interesting notion from Gregg Easterbrook. He argues that if the First Amendment prevents limits on campaign donations, it probably doesn’t prevent rules that block politicians from hosting fundraisers while in office. I like the idea a lot, though it would probably be unenforceable.
