Sign a Petition, Be Suspended from your Job

October 11th, 2012 by Adam G.

A Maryland university official has been suspended for signing a petition to allow the voters to decide whether to restore traditional marriage.

It used to be that liberal activists only tried to punish Christians. Now they try to punish anyone who thinks Christians should get to vote.

Because this kind of overreach is unhelpful in the middle of an election, some liberal activists have made condemnatory noises. But since they won’t even explicitly state that the university was wrong, only that it was imprudent to do so in the middle of an election, one may doubt the strength of their commitment to tolerance for marriage supporters.

Mormon supporters for gay marriage should realize that it is their own fellows in the church that they are setting up for persecution.

When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring.

O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

You assume that liberal Mormons don’t want to have traditional Mormons persecuted? They don’t like them much.

During the ERA Mormon liberals tried to use a missionary boycott to force Mormons to do what they wanted.
