Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, all nine Supreme Court justices, Harry Reid, and (mostly) John Boehner: people who never served in the military.
Paradoxically, civilian control of the military works best when the civilians in control have something in common with the military they order around.
Not good news.
