Both are insignificant when set against the power of the Force.

So? Take all 7 billion people on earth, give them 1 square yard each (36″ x 36″), and you’d fit all of us in a square 47.5 miles* on a side. That’s an area about 1/2 the size of Connecticut.
*Formula: (7,000,000,000 / 1760 / 1760)^.5
Where 1760 is the number of yards per mile.
(Inspired by the John Brunner novel Stand on Zanzibar)
And, if we were all to stand shoulder to shoulder, we’d fit within the boundaries of Rhode Island, 1214 square miles.
Ok, now stack us in 3D, giving each person an average volumen (some would need more, but most would need less) defined by 36″ x 36″ x 72″ (2 cubic yards), and you’d have a cube approximately 1.4 miles on a side, or a ball 1.7 miles in diameter.
So a ball of water 434 miles (700 km) in radius (868 miles in diameter) might seem sufficient.

I messed up my links too. If you forget to put http:// in front of the linked URL, the blog software prepends the blog post’s URL.
