I don’t see a plea for marriage, plural or otherwise, but I was amused at the connection between the writer and the website suggestion that I might also want to read “Teen Decapitated by Batman Ride at Georgia Six Flags.”

Back in ’88, Bloom County ran a strip about how Gary Hart was going to sweep to victory on the strength of the hard-to-track adulterer vote. That constituency is getting less hard to track.

There’s no open plea for plural marriage; that would be too obvious. But asking for social sanction for a super-energized political bunny to consummate a second relationship when the first is no longer up to his psychic needs sure smacks of it. Particularly when he asks us to rejoice in the fruitfulness of the union.

Your second point is spot on.

I think it’s hilarious how Edwards keeps swearing he’s telling the truth in light of his denials of a relationship with Ms. Hunter.
