Perhaps the problem is at least partly, a la carte feminism. Women have asked and insisted on every sort of equality with men when it benefited them, and special treatment, when it benefited them. And all society has learned from it, is that women should be on the same terms as men. And then horror of horrors… when push comes to shove, they are on the same terms. And they don’t like it.

I heard this elsewhere, but I would conclude that men and women of every age deserve each other. The men are cads and the women deserve no better.

You can’t hardly laugh at women on TV, but men are an automatic punchline. With no great objections, books like Why are Men Necessary? are published. Try replacing men with women, blacks or Jews. In courts women have an automatic advantage, and men are often charged before there is even an investigation, depending on the accusation.

I am sure I am preaching to the choir here. But it is the root of the problem, and not the latest leaf, that boils my blood.

Though, to be fair, I think the casual sex revolution, which the feminists have often allied with, carries blame as well.
