Affirmative action for ugly people?

August 30th, 2011 by Vader

His Majesty and I seem to have done all right without any special accomodations.

Though, to be fair, my mask was provided by the government, in the person of His Majesty.

I think it is pretty good logic to say (in all but a very few exceptions) that ugliness and height have just as good a standing for discrimination legislation as gender and race do. The same reasons that apply to gender and race will apply to ugliness and height just as well. We might even be able to roll stupid into that as well.

But more reasonable than giving me money for being a short, ugly (and stupid) little git, is to just stop all this affirmative action all together.

Lots of folks refuse to settle for human justice, and will continue to seek the cosmic kind.

Those who demand cosmic justice will get it — good and hard.

I’m against this, as it might displace private charitable action–like my wife’s.
