I’m guessing that gst is telling us that General Conference is not some kind of academic conference to be peer-reviewed and deconstructed. It is a series of sacred communications to be treated accordingly.

The Internet might possibly not be the optimal setting for that.

I wish I had more to say about Leo Grin’s take on modern fantasy – except to say, I whole heartedly agree. It is a bold sign of cultural decay that we have lost some love for true heroes and heroines. Still, not all is bad out there. I have recently been introduced to the work of Brandon Sanderson, who has written some of the best fantasy I have read.

It is interesting to speculate why the Church is proportionally over-represented in sci-fi and fantasy authors, such as Sanderson.

And what is up with the General Conf. thread? It exists only for it to be closed barren and empty? Your sandbox, but it seemed odd to me.
