Bon mot du jour
Frankly, that’s why I couldn’t give a rat’s behind whether the members of the Covenant of Christ [Evangelical Presbyterian Church] think I’m Christian or not. It’s irrelevant. It doesn’t matter what the President of the United States thinks, or the Pope, or the Bishop, or even the Prophet. In fact, it really doesn’t directly matter what I think. See Matt. 7:21 The only one who even remotely gets a vote on that question is Christ himself.
That’s why I’m trying as hard as I can to live my life so that when the day finally comes that I get to actually ask Him, face to face, “Was I a Christian?”, I’ll get to see Him smile.
I can’t even imagine Christ smiling at me. But I keep trying to live the Gospel anyway, because what else can one do?
And I’ll stack the ornery members of the Church at nauvoo.com against the entire Bloggernacle any day.

I can imagine him smiling. I can imagine him bust out laughing, in fact.

Okay, now I can imagine Christ smiling at me. Thanks for clearing that up.
