Apparently has been a Democratic meme longer than I thought.
From a book on Franklin D. Roosevelt I’ve been reading:
In the summer, he jogged along (never faster than thirty-five miles an hour) in his private train through Kentucky, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and Nevada to California.
I may be mistaken, but I don’t think that’s possible without passing through Tennessee, New Mexico, and Utah.
For other reasons, I can’t recommend the book.
