Obama snubs Nobel exhibition

Not to mention dissing the King.

I’m tempted to praise B.O. for treating the Prize with all the respect it deserves, but that would imply I thought his was a calculated insult. I don’t think it was. I think this is simply the arrogance that I’ve come to believe comes as naturally and unconsciously to B.O. as breathing.

I’m with Obama on this one. The current U.S. President’s time is a couple orders of magnitude more precious than that of King Harald V. All their old-timey European ways are fine amongst themselves, but it doesn’t give them place to command the appearance of any U.S. citizen, let alone our President. Such were the risks of awarding the Peace Prize for work yet to be accomplished, that the honoree would be too busy still accomplishing to take in the full celebration.
